Live, work shop, and dine, in Birkdale Village a main staple and destination in Huntersville. Originally developed in 2003, Birkdale Village is just completing a 20M renovation to offer The Parkway, The Plaza, and The Grove. The Plaza will have a 6,000 sq. ft. shaded green space, a huge LED screen, and a covered stage for music, movie nights, and even Carolina Panther viewing parties. The Grove offers 4 small retail “pods” housing food vendors and merchandisers.
 
The town's historic sites include the historic homesteads Rural Hill and Historic Latta Place which visitors can visit and tour.
