Beyond Meat:  Americans have beef with Airbnb’s; 60% of Buyers see nearby Airbnbs as a negative. 

Short-term rentals used to be a side note in real estate, and then they became all the rage.  In today’s market they can make or break a deal.  60% of buyers don’t see nearby Airbnb’s favorably, with 28% offering less and 32% walking away completely.  Coincidentally, 31% of buyers says they would pay more for a home in a community that bans short-term rentals entirely. 

American Soil:  Foreign buyers accounted for $56B in US home sales in the past year. 

From April 2024 - March 2025 foreign buyers pumped $56 billion dollars into the US residential real estate market.  This represents 78,100 homes nationwide and a 33% increase from the year prior.  The median sales price for these transactions was $494,400 and close to half paying all-cash. Where are they buying?  Florida leads the way with 21% of purchases, followed by California, Texas, New York, and Arizona.  

It’s Like Pulling Teeth: The number of homes getting pulled OFF the market (before selling) is up 47% from last year.

According to Realtor.com, delistings surged 47% in May compared to last year. That means    homeowners across the country are pulling their homes off the market in frustration. Year to date, delistings are up 35% from the same period in 2024 and are outpacing new listings, with 13 homes delisted in May for every 100 homes hitting the market.
