GHOSTS AND GHOULS

Charlotte, NC Steve Lonnen October 31, 2025

Traffic in Charlotte, NC is getting spooky, and the fact that it’s not getting any better is downright scary. Did you know that Charlotte drivers lose about 41 hours per year stuck in congestion, this places the metro area 20th highest in the U.S. for traffic delays, the average commute time is 28.3 minutes, there are over 25,000 crashes each year, and here are the 3 things you need to know this week.

One of One: SouthPark mansion sells for $9.68 million, Charlotte's second-most expensive home.

After over a year on the market this stunning SouthPark mansion (4536 Fox Brook Ln) sold yesterday for $9.68 million, almost setting a record in the city of Charlotte. The estate was rich with amenities, the features endless, and each detail offered cultured intent and elite craftsmanship.  Beyond the physical attributes it carried an aura that could only be understood in person.  Legacy, prestige, and timelessness; truly a jewel in the Queen’s crown!

Queens Castle: This Estate Integrated the Essence of A Classic French Chateaux with Architectural Grandeur, Enduring Design, and Modern Luxuries.

I immediately understood that the opportunity to list this estate was actually my honor and responsibility to share a story and present a brand that our community and city could be proud of.  A full integrated marketing strategy combining traditional, digital, and social tactics and tasks that are presented across the globe.  What we found were incredible resources (many of which are now used in all our listings), and what we created were strong partnerships.  That said it still took time, and that time provided amazing stories, countless memories, and most important…endless lessons.

Extra-Extra: So, What Does It Take To Sell a Home Like This?

It takes a lot of things; solid plan(s), great execution, patience, positivity, a willingness to pivot, protecting privacy, resilience, a lot of work, but most importantly it takes a village.  This was by no means an individual accomplishment; it took the effort, collaboration, and support of many people. There’s no way I could end this review without thanking my family!  They’re the only ones that had a front row to behind the scenes. They saw and experienced everything it took, sometimes it wasn’t all great, and other times they were the ones making a sacrifice.  I realize I wasn’t able to do this for them, I was able to do this because of them.

I hope you have a Happy Halloween, great weekend, and remember; We’re never as great as our best day - We’re never as bad as our worst day; Be Confident - Stay Humble.
